1. What are the specialties that you work on?

We deal with multispecialty coding including E&M, cardiology, neurology, and ENT.

2. I am a graduate and want to become a medical coder. Do you provide training?

A :

No, we do not offer any kind of training for freshers.

3. I have been trained and certified in medical coding but have no experience. Can I apply?

A :

Currently, we are hiring only experienced, certified coders only. However, you are free to apply. Depending on the workload, we will reach out to inexperienced but certified coders.

4. I am specialized in ED coding but do not have experience in the above-mentioned specialties. Can I apply?

A :

If you think you can manage above specialties with your current experience, then we would want to evaluate you.

5. I am an experienced coder but not certified. Am I am eligible to apply?

A :

Currently, we prefer to hire only certified experienced coders. However, we would consider non-certified coders too based on the incoming workload.

6. What are the shift timings?

A :

We currently operate in Indian day shift.

7. Are we entitled for any other perks?

A :

You shall be eligible for provident fund and ESI (if applicable). However, we do not offer free food, transportation, life insurance, medical insurance, etc.

8. Do you offer home-based or part-time medical coding jobs?

A :

Currently, we do not offer home-based or part-time medical coding jobs.

9. Do you reimburse relocation expenses if I relocate to Bengaluru?

A :

No, we do not provide any relocation expenses.

1. I do not have experience in medical transcription or medical scribing but I am very keen to learn medical scribing. How can I apply?

A :

We currently offer paid medical scribing training for life science graduates at our Bengaluru and Mohali branches; however, you need to have good hold on English language, Americanism, and a decent typing speed as well.

1. I am currently earning a good salary in a reputed medical transcription company. Why do you think I should quit my MT profession and start all over in scribing profession as a trainee?

A :

Yes, we are planning to start a batch of 10 candidates. We intend to start the training program on 1-Jul-19. 2. I have several years of experience in medical transcription as QA/Editor/MLS, etc. Can I work as a medical scribe?

A :

We understand and appreciate that you have several years of experience in medical transcription. However, to start working as a medical scribe, you have to start your career in medical scribing in the designation of “On-the-job Trainee Medical Scribe” to understand the nuances of the profession.

3. Do you offer online training for OJT phase?

A :

No, we do not have any online training.

4. What are the challenges of working as a medical scribe?

A : a.

You can work only in night shift.

b.

Your breaks will be aligned to that of the doctor’s breaks. However, you can use the relief scribe in some cases.

c.

Your salary is fixed in the sense that you cannot increase your monthly earning by transcribing/editing more.

d.

Currently, this is an office-based job only, which means you will have to work out of our offices in Bengaluru, Coimbatore, or Mohali. This also means that this is not a home-based job.

5. I am interested in being a part of your organization and would like to join as an OJT, how do I apply?

A :

6. What is the selection process to become an OJT?

A :

You are required to take up a screening test. For screening, 2 audio files are given to the candidates to be scribed. After clearing the screening test, you will have to attend a panel interview comprising of medical scribe trainer and HR personnel. You will be absorbed as OJT after you are selected in the interview.

7. Can I take up the screening test online?

A :

Yes, you can attempt the screening test online. Once we shortlist your resume, we shall send you the link to take online test.

8. Can the interview happen over a phone call or should I attend the interview in person?

A :

Yes, we can conduct a telephonic/Skype interview for candidates who are not from Bengaluru, Coimbatore, or Mohali.

9. What are the documents required for the evaluation process?

A :

We need a copy of your updated resume before you attempt your screening test. You shall be informed of other required documents once you are selected as an OJT.

10. Are you currently recruiting experienced medical transcription professionals to be trained as OJTs? If yes, when will the batch start?

A :

Stability is an important factor to be considered. We have our own sales and implementation office based out of Boston. We are not tied up with another organization for technology or business and hence we are not at the mercy of another company who will decide the amount of profit to be shared with us.

2. I am already a manager or a trainer in my organization. Will you offer an equivalent designation if I join your organization?

A :

Sure, we will accommodate you in an equivalent designation if we have equivalent designation. However, as a matter of policy, we prefer to groom and promote people from within the organization.

3. I am already a medical scribe. Why do I have to go undergo any screening process?

A :

It is our company policy to evaluate the skillsets of a potential employee before hiring. However, the HR team shall have discretionary powers to waive off the screening process.

4. What are the documents that I need to submit as a part of evaluation process?

You will need to submit a scanned copy of your (i) Appointment letter (ii) Latest appraisal letter (iii) Last 3 months’ salary slips (iv) Bank statement for the last 6 months.
